It has changed a lot from your 1968 photo.
Alan, Madrid is a town that my beautiful bride has loved since I first took her to the Southwest 1996. Whenever we go to Santa Fe we take The Turquoise Trail from Albuquerque and stop and eat at the Mineshaft Bar & Grill. We were there when they were filming the movie Wild Hogs that you referred to.

Merg, I find it interesting that you took your bride to Madrid as well.

Prescott, AZ Courthouse at sunset. Kodak Tmax100, 75mm, 10s with 25A red filter. I think I will redo it, it appears that I inadvertently added grain to the image when I went thru SilverEfxPro. So, I will need to redo that. Doesn't look bad, but will look better without the grain thing going on.

Peter - amazing tones, great composition, really 10/10 work on that one! I had to look up DS-10 developer. Looks like it's similar to XTOL? Certainly working well with Acros there. I'm still not a huge fan of Acros but that image certainly sings with it!

Thanks, Bryan. That's kind of you to say. DS-10 isn't as fine-grained as Xtol, although it's a bit sharper. I use it mainly because I have all of the chemicals, and it's a decent all-around developer.

Some very good images here. Shame we can't see them in print. Here is a different version of the Courthouse in Prescott, AZ Somewhat loner exposure, still red #25A, 75mm lens. Worked quite a bit to get rid of the distracting elements, trash cans, some building lights signs on doors and guard rails. The actual adjustments in PS were a round trip thru ACR to straighten image and then a mild curves adjustment and a high pass filter. I did some minor dodging and burning using light masks. Wanted to bring out some detail and contrast, but not be obvious about it. Compare to previous image. I find this one to be much better. I didn't like the in your face contrast and graininess of the first one.
