Abandoned house near my town, shot from the side of the road. I quite don't like the tree just over the corner of the house... a few steps to the right would've helped.

The Oseberg Viking ship, discovered in 1903, is a burial ship for two women and is about 1200 years old. It is now displayed at the Viking Ship Museum in Oslo.
Through a Port-Land 9" at f/4.5.

Thanks for the post and image. I am fond of Viking ships. I'm 1/2 Norweigan. Norway sailed a replica Gokstad to Chicago for the 1893 Worlds Fair. The replica is still here and has been poorly handled. It was under an open shed at Chicago Lincoln Park Zoo for a long time. I visited it often. Sure, vikings carved their boats and wooden artifacts with incredible detail! Such contrast compared to their violent and rough reputation!

Norwegians here in the USA are still a bit rough. Many choose the wastelands of North Minnesota to farm. I come from there. My Norwegian grandfather wore out one wife with 9 children. She died. Grandfather went back to Norway, 1910 and got a fresh wife who bore my father. Not a nice guys, grandfather or father.

There is a very unusual Norwegian church I know in Chicago. All wood of course. The main floor is curved like a ship hull, with every pew tilted. Hard to walk on. I know it will burn sooner or later. It's the Chicago way...
