Both are spot on. Beautiful results from the Hyperion lens, but of course the lens doesn't know what to look at, the photographer nailed that.

I went back to my Ghost Town project and spent a couple of days at Bodie, WA, an old-time gold mining camp. This shot might have been a chapel or the company store. I need to do more web-surfing to get the story. TriX 4x5 with #8 Wratten filter and scanned from an Ilford print. I'll have more later, but first I have to motor to Seattle to get more paper and fixer.

Another at Bodie, WA. This is one of the oldest structures, since it's a log cabin. (Later they brought in a sawmill.) This also TriX 4x5 with yellow #8 Wratten, scanned from Ilford print.

I wasn't able to exactly burn the center , so next I have to try new to me masking techniques.

I finally got around to shooting at a quarry in Idaho with a great selection of old iron and chrome. This one is with 4x5 Rollei infrared and 150 mm lens. Scanned from Ilford print. (You all remember Kaiser cars, don't you.)

Jim: Thanks, you might have liked it because I printed the close-up photos with some diffusion. Here are two others that looked best this way. The group shots looked better without the soft-focus treatment. I'll post them after I get them scanned.
