    January 2011 Portraits

Rain and cold in So Cal, so time for the darkroom.
Finally did a reprint over the NewYear weekend of
my wife from a warmer time. First time using
Fomatone MG Classic warm tone. I think I like this paper.

    (blog post)

Negative scan. Ilford HP5+ at ISO 1600. Taken with a Crown Graphic, Xenar 1:4,7/135. Developed in Adonal 1+50 for 25 minutes. Unintentionally underexposed.. this was a quick mutual portrait we both did as we parted from meeting for coffee. Fabien shoots street portraits with his Mamiya 7.

Joel - I like the photo of your wife. More honesty than many of the female portraits seen here. Thanks for posting it.

    Nice work, David.

Thanks, Peter. I'm learning and progressing!
