That's quite nicely done and, yes, that imagery is extremely favored within the scene.
Thank you. Yes, it fits within a certain genre that mainly consists of a lot of...well, less subtle imagery.
Yeah, that's my general criticism of that genre. People forget that you can depict those themes and still have beautiful art. For some reason people seem to go "Oh, we're going to show this, so obviously it has to have unflattering light, a dirty background, and terrible composition". It makes me shake my head.

Williaty, I recognize that. I think a lot of that imagery is made with entirely different parts of the body than the hands and the artistic mind.
