Maris, your work reminds of some I saw by Max Dupain, and as good.
Thanks Michael Wynd. Max was one of the best but he never had elevated artistic pretentions. I remember him being highly amused and mildly contemptuous about the fuss galleries and collectors were making to acquire his good quality commercial work and get it into frames on walls.

Headland Nude, Noosa
Gelatin-silver photograph on Ilford MG IV FB photographic paper, image size 24.6cm X 19.6cm, from a Kodak triX Pan Professional 8x10 negative exposed in a Plaubel monorail view camera fitted with a Commercial Ektar 10 inch lens. This lens just covers 8x10 straight on but when front rise is used to put the figure at the bottom of the picture some top corner vignetting happens. I thought (right/wrong?) the better composition was worth the compromise.

This is certainly one of your best nudes. Perhaps a lower camera position would have worked better than using a falling front. Also, tilting the camera down wouldn't have created noticeable converging verticals.
