I think it was Matisse who said, "There are three perfect shapes - the violin, a woman's body and the hull of a boat." Now there's a challenge!

Yeah, but try telling a woman her shape is as as perfect as a boat hull and report back to us.

just had some fun with a student of mine.
Paint with light. Sinar Norma - Pol 665 pos/neg
Kind of Memento mori inspired..
and a little less mori...
I should've been a professor.....
That first one makes me think of what Leonardo da Vinci might have done if he'd got around to inventing photography, too. Lovely model, lovely photograph.
not much to explain really...
It is all intuitive. Tina is lying on my dinner table. (on a bean bag chair)... A white (destroyed) white background paper in the back.
The painting is made by me 20 years ago - the big white sculpture on the right is also by me 29 years ago.
Basically, I noticed the painting and wanted to try and you it as if Tina could have been the model for it.. and I wanted the poaes to contra pose each other.
My house is FULL of odd things - from sculptures to dead animals, skulls and dead flowers.., so I too some and placed them there too.
my light is a 25watt light bulb.
That's it. I had an idea using the painting, but from there I worked intuitively.
