I have to admit it surprised me a bit. When it was drying on the rack I couldn't be sure which drops were silver or water from the wash on the plate
I'm in the middle of framing it back-to-front in a 100 year old classic hardwood window frame, so when it's hung it appears that you're looking through the window into the shower with the beads of water on the inside. I'll space another piece of black glass behind the clear glass plate to give it some depth yet allow it to still appear as a positive image to anyone 'looking in'.
I have been working on my newly made Memento Mori images, and today I finished a big bromoil version of the manipulated one.. just experimenting. I am not sure how I like this, but it was fun to try.
This is a three colour bromoil version (actually 3+ coffee...) - somewhat gritty to look at, but that is the challenge in bromoil.
Absolutely beautiful, Gandolfi! Wonderful images in this thread.
PS: I sent an email using this forum because your pm inbox was full, did you get one? Just curious whether sending email using this forum really works!
Naked man alert....
Michael is born without most of his hands and legs.
He is actually a brilliant piano player! But uses most of his time making electronic music.
He asked me to portray him - I did, and today I made a huge bromoil print of him.
Looking rather majestic, don't you think?
BTW: Check this link out: it is hilarious!!:

Great portrait Gandolfi. First thing I thought of when I saw it was Col. Kurtz from Apocalypse Now. Not sure why, must be the facial expresion and head shape. Love the image and the link. The video cracked me up. thanks for sharing both.
