Hi Igor,
the time was 10 mins, agitation first minute, then every first 10 sec in each minute.
Take care, Jiri

Nice one Bluenote.
another one...
Very nice light and good control of the highlights. I often find myself spending hours to compose an Orchid shot to finally walk away.
I had the same problem. Recently I cut a composing " window" out from the mating board - the size of 4x5 negative to use it as a composing aid. This helped me a lot. I found myself walking around the house with the board and finding new compositions. It really works !!
Jiri and Scott,
I love the subject matter and tones on the photographs that you've presented, but I am bothered a bit by subjects presented against blackness with nothing to anchor them to the rest of the photograph. It appears that they are floating in outer space, and I would rather see something recognizable, whether suggested or real, that anchors them to this world to make them appear more natural to me.
I hope my minor criticism is not taken the wrong way, but in the spirit in which it is meant.

Jim,
I have asked myself the same question. I have visualized each of presented images as a part of "flowers portfolio" and the pure black background was how I saw these in my mind. I have placed the shadows into the zone II and made expansion by N+1 process, to make those blossoms white. Next part of the portfolio is going to be different, I am going to reveal some of the background details by choosing the right exposure.
Thank you for your words. Jiri
