light meter repair

Does anyone know where I might get an old analogue spot meter repaired?
It is a soligor, Zonevi apparently, not that it matters. It was a very accurate meter but was dropped on a trip and now isn't linear in its readings. Having tried next to another meter that I am happy is accurate, the soligor is fine up to around 11-12 EV but thereafter it over reads, so by the time we are at around19-20EV its more than a stop out!
I am in the UK but don't mind posting, price caveat to some degree, to Europe or US/Canada. I know some folks here would say that it's not worth the cost/effort but it is quite compact and very easy to use, I do prefer analogue meters.
I asked on another site here in the UK and was pointed to the Sekonic importers but they were not able to help.

Any ideas please.

It is basically because I think that an impact damage will be difficult to locate and repair with satisfactory results is unlikely. I use an antique light meter too, and check occasionally with a modern one!

Not sure if he's still on the job, but George Milton at Quality Light Metric used to be the man for light meter repairs. He did a good job on a Weston V for me.

If it really is Zone VI modified you might try contacting Richard Ritter, who posts on this forum. He's still in the US, but at least Vermont is closer to Scotland than Hollywood (in more ways than one).

You do realise that apart from the food, climate, pace of life, good looking people(plastic or otherwise) and the need to order off the menu, that Scotland and Hollywood are almost indistinguishable. Just ask Mel Gibson

I spoke to George on the phone a few weeks ago, concerning repairing some of my older analouge Pentax spotmeters. What he basically told me, was not to waste my money on them and get a Minolta III on up spotmeter.
As he put it, the Minoltas work very well and parts are available.
Its hard to argue with that statement.
