    Old Negative Archives

In case some you ever doubted the value of your archived work, I want to share with you that I recently scanned in a cousin's 1960 wedding photos from my late father's negative file. He shot 4x5 black and white mostly and stored the films in Nega-File sleeves. I had to trim the negatives a bit so they would drop into the scanners film holder(he shot with film packs at that time). The images are as crisp as ever and they brought a good deal of joy to my family. So, 50 years of storage and once again the pictures are back to life. What a wonderful gift that still is.

    Too funny.
And too bad the Ektachrome and Kodachrome slides haven't held up as well.
