    "Make your own lenses"

270631426478 is fun. A lovely empty eidoscope (Som Berthoit version). Apparently the seller imagines we can make new lenses for it? I don't think I can, anyway.

I could probably cobble something together that would pass as a soft-focus lens, which the Eidoscope was, but it wouldn't have the same signature. Considering what real and complete Eidoscopes are going for, I hope no one gets any ideas...

I have a weakness for "empty" landscape meniscus lenses of nice provenance as they make just the right mount for simple lens experiments. I could probably be able to write Darlot Jamin and some strange numbers on the side of an uncoated achromat - but, of course, I won't.
It is a no. 2 - just in case someone has a bust iris.
