I think the Verito on the Century was a Pick up in their city at their place only. No shipping. That affects price very much. The seller would have been more wise to sell and ship the lens and throw the camera away.

Way off topic - but one of my recent " superfluous" purchases was indeed a(nother) very nice 30x40 reisekamera with two perfect condition double holders! This had obviously been used as Studio camera (size of the hole in the lens board!) but the giant Hermagis/Dallmeyer 4B had gone years ago!

On stands and 8x10 studio cameras, tell me about it! At one time I had about 6 8x10 studios, and almost all had their own stands. That last uncommon Scovill stand took the cake, I could barely give it away! Took me 6 months, and I think I sold it for $100 bucks when it came down to it. Yet you still see stands advertised for $800 and "rare." Or the seller totals up the absolute maximum for each item, and makes that their buy it now. "Let's see, those Verito 11" lenses "are selling" (BIN never sold) for $1000, and the stand is worth $500, and the camera has gotta be worth $500 - I'll ask $2000...."
