Tri, beautiful portrait. Any info on the subject would be great. He looks monastic, was this photo taken in the States or out East? At a monastery? Thanks
My local history group has received a grant to document the development of my area and the history of some of the older families who first settled here. As part of this they have invited the local camera club to take a range of portraits of some of the older families to accompany the publications and to put together an exhibition to go with the launch of the book.
I thought it might be fun to use the 8x10 rather than all of the digitals that were being used. All of the models/victims were well over 80 and I hope I look as healthy as some of them when I reach that age.
I will post more as I process them. both of these taken of Efke25 using the 8x10 and 14.5 inch verito at about f6.3-8.

I'm a lot bummed that my B&J Ajax Portrait Petzval doesn't even remotely cover 8x10. Now I need to figure out if I want to keep it for 5x7 (it was a sizable investment, but I don't see a lot of 5x7 in my immediate future), or sell it in favor of a Petzval to cover 8x10...
Here's my contribution A Triptych of wet plates of my daughter shot yesterday morning. I was trying to capture her mood swings throughout the session.
Shot with Kodak 2D and Darlot lens with Packard shutter. I used the 'Schwab' plate holder with whole plate adaptor. Collodion on Aluminum.
