    Nothing more than a test of a new lens, but (other than Packard-induced blown exposure) I'm happy.



    Testing the new Ross Universal 10" Petzval on 8x10.
    It's much better to be a spectacular failure than an apologetic one...

    Testing a new lens. Schneider 300 5.6 at 5.6, used one light over the camera.

    Thanks for the good wishes, all. It's been a rough road, but at least we've got some good pictures out of it. Nice to see so many good portraits going up in July already.

    My wife allows me to photograph her about once every eight years. Tonight was apparently the mark.
