    Hello, everyone.

Do any of you prefer Acid Etched GG to Boss, Beatie, etc.? Is it much brighter than sandblasted or other cheaper GG?

I've picked up a couple of clean Kodak acid etched GG for the 4X5 I'm building, and want to know if I should chuck it and go for the brighter stuff, or if I'm d oing fine by saving money with the acid etched if the difference isn't overwhelm ing with it and the Boss, Beatie, etc.

Also, are there qualities with the acid etched that you won't find in other type s of GG?

    Thanks,

    Pete.

My experience is that almost anything is brighter than regular GG. I have used Beattie screens and they were quite bright, considerably so than GG. Now I have an Ebony and the screen on that camera is exceptional.
