Hi sherie,
I live in Hell's Kitchen, and often work in a studio in Tribeca (Laight St) where we still shoot LF.
Best,
Helen
Welcome (and nice to see you've prompted a message from Helen Bach, who I haven't seen here in a while, hi Helen). There are quite a few people here who know a lot about Technikas, including Bob Salomon who works for the Linhof distributor in the U.S., so fire away if you have any questions about yours. Great camera BTW, I've owned two.

Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way when you do criticize them you'll be
a mile away and you'll have their shoes.
Hello Helen,
I'm working my way through the instruction manual from Linhof's website. Having trouble understanding the cam/focusing. Would you be interested to meet for tea/coffee. I'm a MFA student @ Pratt working on a thesis project. My studio is in Red Hook, which is out of the way. I live in the East Village.

Hello Experts,
I'm trying to tech a problem. I shot some fuji pola's of my technika inside, and they exposed perfect. I went outside and shot in day light and the pola's are flare/glare. I purchase a lenshade and went out again and same problem. In my studio with same exposure, great no flare. Outside pola's are overexposed.
Best,
Sherie
Several possibilities come to mind. Are you shooting nearly directly into the sun when outdoors? Have you checked for minor pinholes in your bellows that might only show in your pictures when shooting under bright sunlight? Lightleaks can sometimes look much like flare. Is the inside of your shade shiney?
My first thought would be that the lens isn't adequately shielded from the sun when outdoors, from shooting too directly into the sun, but some fooling around might be needed to be sure; try shooting with your back to the sun and see if the flare continues.
