    Thanks for all the suggestions - there's some very nice work there that I hadn't come across before. Here's some more that haven't been mentioned yet;

    Nadav Kander - no book yet but one due I think towards the end of the year
    David Maisel: Lake Project - look impressive but not easy to find
    David Parker: Sirens - looks beautiful and is due out soon
    Greg Girard - Phantom Shanghai - third edition due anytime now

    Bernd and Hilla Becher: Basic Forms.

    Big industrial structures, refineries, silos, blast furnaces, water towers, etc. Stark and honest. Otherworldly?

    Thanks for that one, I'd not heard of his work. Looks broadly similar to the work of Michael Light who's 'Bingham Mine/Garfield Stack' book I got last week. Some stunning photos of huge quarries if you like that sort of thing, which I do
