    Greatings from France

Just discovered this forum and wanted to log in immediately and say hello to everyone. I live in Paris area and am a beginner in LF 4x5. i could not enjoiy the digital world and was looking for something more traditional let's say. one day i went to a galery and asked how this beautifull LF photo was taken by the photograph. This one showed me his camera and i knew at this moment that this was what i was looking for for years. I have now a monorail Arca swiss F-line gear and love it.

    Bienvenue Yann !

You will find lots of traditional stuff here, even much more traditional than your Arca if you whish :-) As far as I can see, there is also a good bunch of LF folks in and around Paris.

    Salut Yann

N'oubliez pas de vous présenter au forums de Galerie Photo, ou on peut même discuter les sujets GF avec les autres francophones.

Welcome to the LF club, sub-section : Arca Swiss Monorail !

Ahem ! there is no obligation ;-)
May be Yann prefers to speak American-English for all stuff related to LF photography ; but if he prefers British-English, I would recommend him this other forum ;-)

Salut a tous et merci de votre warm welcome.

    - Johnny : no problem. next time i'll buzz you
    - Joanna: yes, I have crossed your name few times as I am already on this french forum. I loved it until some time ago. However, this is getting more and more exclusive and dedicated to few technical "engeneers" who seem to enjoy making fun of you in an agressive manner (you know the ones i am talking about. a hint: the ones who read/reply to each and every email and try to teach you lessons any time they have the opportunity to do it). i think i will now avoid any intervention there.

Anyway, Largeformatphotography however, looks very friendly and more accessible to anyone without a priori and that's more what i am looking for i must admit.

Looking forward to exchange with all of you

    Yann

    Cheers!
