Pierre Gonnord is a French portrait photographer who concentrates on people that are considered outsiders: people who are blind, homeless or gypsies. Apparently, he's inspired by painters such as Rembrandt and Vermeer, uses very low key lighting and prints his images at hyper life size. He's currently got a show in New York City at the Hasted Kraeutler Gallery. Here's a link http://hastedkraeutler.com/home.php
I've done an extensive internet search of Gonnord in hopes of discovering any information about his technical shooting. So far I've come up empty. Does anyone know if he's shooting large format, his film choices, and so forth?
