    Thanks for the nice video.

Did I really listen right at minute 15:35
that the cost of a 11 x14 platinum print is about 150$ ?
I mean only the costs of the paper and chemicals, not the
costs of gear, studio rent or working hours.

He's relating an anecdote from "David" about the cost of printing. Anyone paying $150/materials for an 11x14 is paying waaaaaay too much.

    Ah OK, sounds better.

The costs are not everything when talking about platinum print, looking at the beauty
and the qualities, but I'm really curious what I have to pay for.
    Let's say a print from a 8x10 negative?

Sanchi, it depends on what paper you're using, the ratio of palladium to platinum, how you purchased your pt/pd (kits are ridiculously expensive and it gets even cheaper when buying the metal powder in bulk).

An 8"x10" pt/pd prints using my methods on my current preferred paper (Stonehenge) costs me $5-10--this includes making a digital negative as I don't print from film negatives anymore.

    Helpful video, thanks for sharing.
Ian Leakes's "The Platinum Printing Workshop" book also covers the Dichromate method of Platinum printing for contrast control. Ian uses potassium rather than sodium dichromate.

I enjoyed it. Way better than millions of the crappy videos on youtube. Sometimes you need to look at the little things like mixing the emulsion in glass shot glasses. I have been using plastic and throwing them away, no more...Evan Clarke
