No Dual Monitor Support for either VISTA or Windows 7

I spoke with X-Rite technical support today, and they informed me that Microsoft didn't include dual monitor calibration/profile support in either VISTA or Windows 7. I know it's supported by XP.

If this is true, the following comes to mind.

ARE YOU KIDDING??? THEY CAN'T BE SERIOUS!!!

    I think they are, though.

    Geesh.

So anyway, if this is important to you, and you're thinking of "upgrading", check into this.

I never noticed because my second monitor is just for my tools. Are you using both for images?
    Thanks,

Maybe they upgrade to OS X?

I have two monitors on WIndows 7 calibrated by X-Rite tools. I see that it works -- second one greatly improved after calibration. So, before talking to incompetent people in X-Rite and raising heat here, why not to try it yourself? In Windows 7 you could assign profile for each monitor and it will be handled by OS, there was a bug in Vista that OS didn't restore profile if it was changed -- it is fixed now. You don't need any additional tool that we used to use to load profiles. Setting profile is hidden a bit deep in Windows 7, you could find details on the Web, if you cannot figure it out.

I use Windows 7 64 bit. I had no trouble profiling both of my displays with a Datacolor Spyder 3 Elite.
