    Re: March Portraits

After 6 months I feel like I am making a little headway with this wonderful format. The work continues! Here is my latest attempt at a portrait with the ebony RW45 with a 210mm lens on tmax 100. Thanks to everyone who continue to help me along the way. Rick

    Re: March Portraits

Since I never photograph people (with rare exception), I've never participated in one of these 'portrait' threads. But I did make a portrait of sorts recently. This is an old terra cotta bust that I found in the Gladding McBean pottery company, in Lincoln, CA. GMcB produced a lot of architectural details for large city buildings and structures. Been around since 1875. Now they mostly make clay sewer and water pipe, and work on architectural restoration. But, a lot of old stuff is still laying around the factory. This statue probably was a second, or reject, and legend has it that is a likeness or Ray Crock.

    Ebony SV45U, Rodenstock S 150, Delta 100.
