Comments on This WS (old lenses)

Has anyone attended or is planning to attend the following WS? Comments? Hotel/restaurant recommendations? (there's a hotel "Thirty on Thirty" literally next door - any good?) I haven't been to NYC for quite a while so I thought I'd go to this WS. Sounds like it could be interesting!

Hi Richard, I forgot the answer your question about hotels. Thirty Thirty is right next door but there are a couple of other options not far away. Try the Leo House located on West 23rd Street between 8th & 9th ave. I think they charge about $99/night. There is also a similar hotel called the Wayfarers home in union square but you will need to Google it. There are also lots of deals right now in NYC so go to Expedia, Priceline, Cheap Tickets, etc. Hope this helps. Best, Geoff

I have seen their lens collection and it is amazing. It is probably worth the $75 to just see their cabinets...

it is a great class. i was there last year. as noted above just to finger some lenses for most of a day is worth it all by itself. maybe i will take it again and ask to see specific lenses.....oh baby! i sure would like to shoot a P&S!

richard. if you show up in NYC let me know i will stop in for some beer/coffee/BS... i am about 1.5 hours north.

eddie; I hope you DO take the seminar! I'm definitely going and will be staying at Thirty Thirty Hotel. If you want to get together, let me know and I'll e-mail you contact information - probably meet at the hotel? I'm going by Amtrak from Toronto.

Come on people, doesn't anybody else want to caress brassies?
