    Speed Graphic modifications

    Gents,
I rigged up a quick hot shoe on my Dad's old Speed.
I would like to make this a removable feature, as it stands now, I need a screw driver to do that.

Any suggestions on clean easy quick release setups?
I use a Canon speedlight or vivitar on it.

maybe you could use thumbscrews instead of slotted screws
Real men use Speed Graphics and flashbulbs.

I tried everywhere (locally) I could think of, no one has any with the thread that small.
I can leave it, it is not the end of the world, but it would be a little cleaner without it.

I'd use an "L" bracket made of 3/4 or 1" aluminum stock mounted to the bottom of the camera and attach the hotshoe on top of that. Less wear and tear on the focus housing. If you still have the mounting bracket for the Heilman (sp) flash, I'd use that. It's screwed onto the camera itsef.
