Jonathan,
This looks pretty wild, almost like a surrealistic painting. Very nice, indeed.
I recently found this 50's movie theatre and was thrilled. These kind of things get pretty rare here nowadays. In fact, it is out of business since 2001 but the facade and neon signs are still preserved. I wonder for how much longer...
Here is my first attempt at it, taken yesterday morning. I'm not yet happy with it and may go back there for another version. So, c&c is very welcome.

Peter,
Thanks. Here is another one taken at this same park on expired Polaroid type 51 film. It was so dark I had to use a flashlight to see in my camera bag, but the 30 second exposure makes it look almost like daylight which it certainly wasn't!

Downtown, 2012
When you're alone
And life is making you lonely,
You can always go downtown
When you got worries,
All the noises and hurry
Seems to help, I know, downtown
Just listen to the music of the traffic in the city
Linger on the sidewalk where the neon signs are pretty
How can you loose?
The lights are much brighter there
You can forget all your troubles, forget all your cares and
go
Downtown, things will be great when you're
Downtown, no finer place for sure,
Downtown, everythings waiting for you...
