Rain turned to snow would be great . We've got maybe 1" on the ground which is nuts for this time of year. I hadn't heard about the flooding, that's obviously never good. Anyway great shots, the new one too. My brother keeps imploring me to get into the old breweries around here that may soon be demolished.

This second one really popped. It's an interesting selection from the entirety of the scene. The very neutral grey balance of this particular image (as compared to the other two that have very dark areas) really appeal to my sensibilities as far as monochrome images go -- I enjoy when something is presented in opposite to what it ostensibly conveys. The image breaths. This is one of the reasons I have been working with color as of late, since my subjects are often somber in their own right and oftentimes shown in contrasty light -- I need color to liberate it from its austerity. sorry for digressing... nice work.

Love this one, because we get to see some steam rising. That means there be paper running!

I also shot an 8x10 Portra 400 negative:

I like how there is more color and detail on the bridge, water, and ice for Portra but the Kowa 210mm doesn't handle flare well. Moving down the shore should get rid of the sun from right behind the steam/smoke. I want to try using a 24" lens and get in really tight. I do like how the length of the exposure in the Velvia version made the smoke on the right look a bit like fire.

I really like the Portra one too, but it is a real pity about the flare.
