Merry Christmas everyone. 20 seconds worth of lights on Lighthouse Avenue here in Pacific Grove a few weeks ago.

That's not fair! I want to be in PG for Christmas! Is the White House on Lighthouse still there? And the Victorian Corner? Merry Christmas!

I rather like the exposure. Has a Robert Adams look to it in that way.

Austin, can you divulge a bit about the printing? Love the tonality!

    Richard,
    Thank you!
I'm afraid as of now, this picture exists only in the ether of the internet. But I can offer you a little bit of info: it was made on 5x7 Tri-X with a Fujinon W 250. I used a ND 110 filter to bump the exposure time out to 15 minutes (!) or so; I wanted to smooth out some finicky looking clouds and also wanted to give the subject the sort of uncanny quality I felt it deserved. As for the color, it's a fill layer applied in Photoshop Elements. The hex code is EEC900 if that means anything to you. I think of this as my 'sickly gold' tone, as it has a tiny bit of green in it.
    Thanks again, Austin
I'm looking forward to seeing what you bring back from the desert. Wish I was going!
