I see i'm not the only one discovering the magic of Ektar in low light urban areas!

but I'm still going through my box of Fuji NPL:

This took a lot of editing to preserve the feeling of luminance at the scene and remove excessive contrast from the street lights

An early try that didn't work out. Toyo 45CF, Fuji RVP, 300mm Lens.

A tad better scan here? It comes a little closer to matching the color of the sky in the transparency but still has tha "muddy" apparence IMO. Although it seems straightforward, this is not an easy image to capture. For one thing, I waited a little too long before tripping the shutter on this one as the apen glow is already half-way up the buildings and this may have accounted for the muddy appearance of the sky.

I found this image a few days ago along with about a hundred others in a notebook that I had forgotten about.

Are you going to shoot more B&W or stay with color?

It's good to see some of what you did here, do you have any more?
I'm not sure. The B&W is fun so I may shoot more of it, but it won't replace my color work.

I do have more from Chicago, mostly in color. I just haven't had time to scan it yet, I've been too busy with other things.

Being too busy is a good problem to have! Sure beats the alternative...
