I never get this quality when I do it.
I take all of my color film to a lab for processing - it's on my way to work if I take the bicycle, and they charge only marginally more than it'd cost me if I bought the chemicals myself. The scanning, however, I always do myself. This is probably where any difference between my work and others' lies: I have a very particular scanning workflow that gives me the most control possible. I don't let Silverfast (or any other scanning program) do the negative inversion for me - I prefer to do everything myself using Photoshop's Curves dialog.

You'll have to pass on the knowledge because my scans suck so much I am not doing as much color as I'd like. My photos being crap might have something to do with it too.

So you are saying that you scan it as a positive and then invert it afterward in PS?

    Hi, I'm newer boy here.

This was my first LF photography taken one year ago.

The old town of Belchite, between August 24 and September 7, 1937, loyalist Spanish Republican and rebel General Franco's forces in the Spanish Civil War fought the Battle of Belchite in and around the town. After 1939 a new village of Belchite was built adjacent to the ruins of the old, which remain a ghost town as a memorial to the war.

The remains of the old village have been used as filming locations in films including Terry Gilliam's 1988 film The Adventures of Baron Munchausen and Guillermo Del Toro's Pan's Labyrinth (Wikipedia)

    Best regards.

Excellent composition and tones. Very nice for your introduction to large format.
