Thanks, Steve. It was a bit underexposed (used my hand as a shutter trying to hit 1/4 sec.), but that just adds to the mood. The day wasn't actually all that dark. To prove it, here is a panoramic image shot during the same session. Same film, same camera, but with a Hugo Meyer Doppel Anastigmat 240mm and "proper" exposure of fifteen seconds at f/32. (I know, I've done this view a few times already. Still trying to get it right. I'm not there yet.) The film is orthochromatic and so rather than cutting through haze it makes it worse!

More from Hopewell. Fifty bucks a night motel that was there when I was in high school. Arista 100 4X5, late in the evening before unpacking all my stuff. This is just a scan and not a good one at that, but I'm sure the print will be better.
