    Around the house?

I would love to get some inspiration for shooting everyday things around a typical house/apartment. Not necessarily still life, but everyday objects.. ?

You might try to find a copy of "Steichen: A Life in Photography". Throughout his incredibly varied and nearly seventy year career, he returned to everyday objects such as carpet tacks, flower pots, and thread as sources of inspiration for some wonderful illustrations.

I do a lot of that sort of thing. In fact I created an album which I titled "Around The House." Unfortunately I can't show you any because they weren't made with a large format camera. And frankly I'm not sure how inspirational they'd be anyhow, they're just things that interested me, usually involving the play of light and shadow.

Everyday things? Like a tire swing in the backyard?

Just found out today, via x-rays, Bryce broke 3 bones in his foot (tripped on a rock on Friday). At least he waited until after the summer break -- and not while he was on the top of Half Dome a couple weeks ago!

Look for the book, "Home Photography" by Paul Sanderson, a Britisher.
Not just good photos, but thought provoking text.

I really like this one, Austin. Nice perspective and light.
