I seem to recall, the property is owned by the Moroun's, along with other real-estate around the city. Often wondered how it escaped demo all these years. It would appear a rehab would be financially out of the question.

Info for those who care:
This is the Marathon Oil Refinery on the Mississippi River in St Paul Park, MN. I think Marathon may have sold it last year though. On the left is the Rock Island swing bridge which opened in 1895. It was closed in 1999 and almost completely demolished in 2009. It was bought by Inver Grove Heights and converted into a pier/park.

Developed in a BTZS tube with Pyrocat HD at a dilution of 1:1:100 for 13 minutes. I think I am going to try the two bath / divided Pyro method next time.

Could have given it more exposure for sure. I was mainly interested in the 8x10 Velvia I shot. I am sending that out tomorrow, hopefully it turns out. I don't think b&w fit this scene as much as color. With the featureless sky there isn't much going on and obviously the color doesn't come through. I am hoping the Velvia captured some great color as the sun was just coming up behind the right bit of smoke and lighting everything up pretty good.

Personally I would crop it as a panorama. Probably with the horizon centered. Interested to see the color, please post when you can.

You are probably right about the crop. I actually did that pretty much to the bridge/reflection when I first scanned it. For some reason it didn't feel right taking out that much of the photo although it probably would look better if I could detach myself from the current framing. Not sure why I am averse to cropping it like that. I usually like a longer aspect ratio too. I think, at the least, crop the top to the bridge. I'll have to see how the color renders the scene as that is what I was there for. It better turn out...

That's true. It's a big mass of black.
