I live on 51st (actually I've been here since I was 13). I know exactly where this is, I've watched that whole area go from a wasteland to Trumpville over the years. Have you seen the old New York Central RR switcher they have set up there? A nice homage to the area's history. These are old railroad car float gantries, one of the main modes of transporting cargo across New York's harbors. I used to worry they'd be torn down, but luckily they've been placed on the register of historic places.

The view from the Woodland Reservoir is the best vantage point for Syracuse, with Most Holy Rosary Church in the middle distance. I just wish that I were able to do it more justice! Ah well, its close to where I live, so I can return to try again.
