I think, hanging your dog in a bag, out side a car door is not a good idea.

You are right. Former US Presidential loser Mitt Romney says you put them on the roof of the Family Truckster when you drive.

Sooooo darkroom is kinda finished but we discovered an issue with the plumbing. Apparently either the builder did something really stupid with the plumbing and ran a pipe into the ground with no sewer output or there's something else screwy going on. Looks like worse case scenario I may have to have a little 10-gallon tank under and to the left of the sink with a sump pump up to the main sewer line. So it goes.

    Here's a couple pics:

    Spiffy!
bummer about the sink. but collection and sump pump should be an alright solution, a way to make sure you are conserving water =)

nice Arkey heater and nice foot switch.

Good eye! I love the footswitch and audible timer for my Beseler. Really helped with my consistency and d&b work.

Corran: I'm probably missing something obvious. I see your shelves with the trays for printing, but no sink (other than the small one with the plumbing issue). Where will you do your printing?

My question too. I see big trays and a very small sink!

    Re: Lets See Your Darkroom

Hi Peter, David - the trays will be set on top of the bench on the left. It's just long enough for 3 20x24s side-by-side. I know the traditional thing is to have the trays in a big sink but I've never done that. I've never really understood why that was done in the first place.

I will be placing another big tray to the right of the sink with a siphon into the sink for a holding bath and/or washing. In the photo the water bath for C-41 is there now. I have to move the Arkay under the bench though as I discovered last night the red glow from the "on" lamp leaks through the heat vents on the side of the machine, slightly. Also, speaking of light, I found that my new LED shop lights have a tiny, tiny glow when off. Research suggests a tiny amount of inducted electricity is enough to keep the LEDs glowing very slightly when off, and of course everyone says "don't worry about it" but it matters in a darkroom! It looks exactly like the slight glow from my timers and other glow-in-the-dark stuff so it may be okay - will have to test with an exposed bit of film - but not sure what the solution for the issue is otherwise. I unplugged the one over the sink last night when working.
