I'd also suggest some covering on the insulation. Anything to reduce dust is worthwhile.

Lately I set a second large durst up in my darkroom just for convince. On the base plate there is a minox enlarger for comparison.

I didn't think about dust. But after discussing with the contractor I am working with he is going to throw a simple 4x8 piece of sheetrock up there. Easy and cheap, and it'll be unfinished but whatever.
New pipe and electrical fixtures were put in this weekend, hopefully I'll be making prints by the end of the month here.

Inspired by the bunch here I finally pushed to the next stage in my creepy basement darkroom. I finished this stand for my enlarger so it can be used. The low ceiling required that it be custom built shorter than standard. I added a dark drawer for 11x14 paper. I remember this idea from a book I read as a kid.

That's not creepy. Creepy would being in there all by yourself with the lights off. Yes having the lights off, in this dark creepy place, and having something brush your pants ever so slightly. Now that would be creepy. Looks just like my first darkroom. Mine was originally a coal bunker for the furnace. It took me years to get over the fear of walking into a spider web. Remember not to disturb any unmarked burial sites

I am not doing any digging so not too worried about what I dig up. Spiders...don't mention them. The next step is the Elwood enlarger I will need to mount lying down.

Hey I have/had Elwood(s) too. 5x7 and 8x10. They are great. There currently on loan (hopefully permanently ha!) Make a horizontal. Just disconnect the spring lifts. Glass carrier works great. You can even sandwich polycontrast filters with the negative, unless you have one of the fancy new Elwoods with a filter tray.
