Been meaning to set -up my darkroom for months now! Gave it a peep yesterday ( thought of setting it up today ) and found a funny looking lizard inside! That turned me off...

My darkroom from a converted bedroom. It's completely functional although not completely finished, still have some storage and cabinetry to put in place.

Very nice, I like your approach to covering the windows so you can easily have lots of natural light in the room when you don't need to be in the dark.
This would definitely make toning and a number of other tasks easier and more pleasant.

Thanks, I'm quite proud of those, I call them portals and portal covers. I was struggling one day trying to figure out how I would be able to have darkness, quickly, and utilize the window light just as quickly without hassle. The idea just sort of hit me, it has worked out wonderfully.

It's just the basic plywood sink, except that the bottom is doubled up 3/4" plywood, glued and screwed and I recessed the sink flange using a router. The sides are glued and screwed to the bottom edges. The joints are caulked with a quality polyurethane window and door caulking, the inside sink surfaces have three coats of oil-based primer, outside 2 coats of primer. Water proofing was with Sherwin-Williams waterbased expoxy paint, three coats on the inside surfaces and 2 coats on the outside surfaces.
