Thanks, Randy. When I ran the B & W darkroom at Hedrich, we had standpipes for the sink, and I usually ran the whole sink as a water bath for the print trays (which were stainless). Recommendations on one for this guy?

I didn't get the standpipe, but I am sure you could make one from chem lab parts.

As I recall the sink drain is not threaded from above.

    So rubber and a pipe.

I am working slowly on my new darkroom also.

That big sink would not have fit.

Ya'll got me to thinking, so I checked Amazon. They list a bunch of stainless steel sink drains.

I haven't run the duct to the blower yet. Here's a shot of the underside. The vent tapers out wider towards the edges and there are movable baffles so you can fine tune the evenness of the air flow. So... I should be able to get a pretty even draw. Positive air is supplied from the ceiling across the room via standard darkroom louvers.

    Room shot with louvers...

    and lights switched to safelight...

The ventilation set-up looks very promising; I would be interested to know how quiet it runs once you’ hooked it up to the blower.
I spy an Intellifaucet waiting to be installed...

Thanks for the info and the images of the underside. It seems quite a small opening compared to the setup I got from this supplier: http://www.eepjon.com/Drvent.htm If it works in practice it’s a lot more compact with the added benefit of the shelf. Since I’m amout to embark on darkroom #2 I may we’ll go your way. Let me know how it draws once you get the extractor attached.

I tried to make a picture of my darkroom but it was, ah, too dark.
