Hi guys,
I'm looking for a shop that can do online orders from tiff files (ftp or mailed) and make exhibition quality Lambda prints at 40"x50". WCI and many other shops stop at 30"x40". not sure why that is!
any help is very much appreciated.

Not sure how large he prints but I know his quality of work is of the highest order, you won't find another better--
Bob Carnie here on this forum and his outstanding cohorts at ELEVATOR in Toronto use a Lamda printer. They would be a good place to start.

Monty thanks for the kind words
Stark - unfortunately my Lambda is a 30 inch as well.
The reason in my case was a financial decision between 200k for the 30 inch or 350 k for the 50 inch.
Basically my business partner and I stepped out on a very large limb to make this happen, making the decision to 50 inch , we would have been adding a rope to the equation.
As we have a 60 ink jet machine the need for large lambda prints is lessened .
Larger commercial labs have the commercial clients to make the rational to 50inch.
We are using our machine in a much different model than the big labs and are quite happy with our decision.
**Just blew a blue laser this past week, the new one is being installed Tues, 15 thousand dollars in total.** not a good month.
thanks guys. Giving me some good leads already.
Surely a bit late in the piece but for the record I thought I should mention that the crowd I use here in New Zealand can handle Durst Lambda prints up to 127cm (50"):

I'm not sure if you are specifically looking for Lambda and only Lambda. Myphotopipe.com out of Atlanta prints on a Chromira up to 60" width.
I use Nichols Photo Lab in Salt Lake City. They are meticulous, have decent prices, and great service.
Toronto Image Works has a 50" wide Chromira and you can submit images online.
