    Art Show/Fair participants?

Just curious as to who does Art Shows.
Also, what success/failure (hope not) do you have. What part of the country are your shows.
Any other info you would like to share.
I realize that alot of the US is cold and snowy. You folks have to wait for summer.
Here in the FL Keys it is just starting to become our tourist season.
So I am pretty busy almost every other weekend with a show.
The buyers are treating me pretty good. People are spending money on Art.
I have seen some of my fellow show neighbors with paintings, sculpture, etc make very good sales.
Just wondering who out there goes this route.

I think that there was an extensive thread on this a few years ago. Try searching the older posts.
    Politically, aerodynamically, and fashionably incorrect.

I only do local shows and have a low-moderate sales record (which is fine for a hobby).

I have not done them for a while but I have a good friend who does them often in the summer and does quite well.

What seems to sell the best is local interest stuff much more so than landscapes from other areas of the country or the globe

I do about 10 shows in Florida during the winter months. Last weekend I did a show in Miami (Beaux Arts) and about froze to death. My work is all landscape primarily of the Everglades so I don't venture outside of FL.

This season is better than last although sales are still down for most artists do to the crappy economy. I have had some great shows and some mediocre shows. Its a crap shoot at best these days.

I will be doing the Coconut Grove show in February. Will you be there?
