With Large Format B&W film given adequate exposure, a dark subject can often look very rich. Following the approach of BTZS, I took a single incident reading for the shadows near the planter and didn't try to figure out which items belonged on which zones. The subject was already beautiful and didn't require tonal interpretation, just competent capture.
