    Hello from New Zealand!

    Hello chaps,

I'm new to the forum and not yet a LF shooter but plans are afoot in getting myself set up! I'm living in Wellington, New Zealand but am an ex-pat originally from the UK. Hoping to find some LF shooters around the local area to show me the ropes and where to source LF equipment from!

    But hello for now anyway

    Welly

    Welcome!!!

I'm not local to you (having sadly never been out of North America) but that is beside the point! Most folks here are always willing to lend a hand.

My wife was just asking me where I would visit if money was not an object and I immediately said, "New Zealand!!!" Impressive landscapes and - a bit off-topic - great wine!!!

I look forward to seeing some of you work as you discover the joy of LF photography!

    Cheers,
    J

Welcome to the forum! I've been down that way a few times -- impressive country and good people. It is a good place to settle down!

    Re: Hello from New Zealand!

Hello again and thanks for the welcome!

I'm still yet to find some local LF shooters and a source of LF equipment here down under! I did see a Tachihara 4 x 5 on New Zealand's equivalent of ebay recently and so am hoping to get a deal on that. Only thing, doesn't come with a lens, lens board or film holders! Will have to check the forum here.

I've decided to hang up my digital gear before I lose the love for photography entirely and pick up this camera.

Anyway, just checking in again! Still no progress but we'll get there! Any other NZ shooters about??

    Cheers!

    Welly
