I took a crown graphic to Waikiki once. It was a great way to meet chicks, but I was there with my bride and children!

I try to take the 8x10 to the coast at least once a year. Why not?

I've been thinking about taking my whole plate camera with me (the kit fits into a laptop bag), but I have to fly and was planning to take my digital with one lens also. I don't want to overpack and thus have to pay for multiple checked bags.

I've taken a 5x7 to the beach before, when I was living in California, and I've also taken it to the Delaware shore.

Took my Gowland Pocket View to Kauai (Hawaii). Worked out quite well- it fits into the same camera bag I use for a big DSLR kit, of course this means the DSLR didnt' go to Hawaii- oh well.

Nice log David. An excellent example of what to take in the midday sun - see another thread.

    Diane,
Why the question? But yes I take mine - but not with the family because we don't do beach holidays. I take it to make pictures.

Yes - one from last week (5x7), on a beach in southern Sweden:

P.S. Jock Sturges regularly had his 8x10 out on the beach
