I'm thinking of taking a 4x5 camera on my recurrent trips to South India. I am i nterested particularly in environmental portraits and would like to expose regul ar b/w negs for myself and provide Polaroids for the subjects. In my previous ex perience doing something similar with smaller format, I had a Polaroid camera us ing the pack film (Color, Spectra?). Very popular, but on my next trip only a ye ar later, I had people showing me sadly faded photographs. These photographs wil l not be well cared for and generally will be in hot conditions except during th e winter monsoon. There may be intermittent exposure to near-equatorial sunlight .
So, if I take a Polaroid back with my 4x5 are there any recommendations for both color and b/w which would have the best longevity. Also any recommendations for *simple* daylight processing which might improve longevity. (Sistan?)
Thanks in advance, Eric Pederson
