    Hello from the Netherlands

    Hi all,
I used to live in the DC area (US), but now I have relocated with my family to the Hague (just outside of it). I had a graphlex several years ago, and only last year bought some lf gear again (linhof technika V). I haven't really had a lot of time to play with it so far, but will hopefully have enough time soon to do so.
I would be interested in meeting other lf users in the area, so drop me a line.

    all the best,
    Kurt

right, wanted to ask people knowledgeable in this area:
is there a place to develop 4x5 slide film? i.e. a lab where they will do that and not overcharge you? (I used to get 4 slides developed for 8 bucks in DC). and, is there a common use darkroom where I can go one afternoon and enlarge prints?

    Thanks!

Welcome to group therepy, Kurt! Seems like we have a few regular posters from your new area around here, so you should get some feedback on processors pretty soon. That is a lovely and historic part of the world...that Technika should prove useful!

By the way, who processes 4x5 transparencies for $2.00 in D.C.??? I'm not usually in a hurry, and most everybody around here want $4.00 + for each one.

Well, it is in Bethesda. On Wisconsin Avenue, close to the NIH (and right next to Guapo's and also a Restaurant. I think it is called L'Imagerie, you can tell the owner (he is French) that I gave you his address. They are pretty good, he can be a bit condescending (I didn't care, as I welcomed input about my mistakes) but all in all I was very happy with their processing and service.
There is roughly a 3 day turnaround time for 4x5s. (4 for 8 dollars)

    Kurt,

although i live in the Netherlands i can't help you finding a processing lab because after all the facilities in my neigbourhood went belly-up i process my own film, C41 and E6.
On the dutch forum at APUG there are quite some LF people maybe you could ask there.

    Welcome!
I'm afraid large format is a bit pricier in general, here in the Netherlands. For 4x5" e6 I am only familiar with Color in Utrecht, for 3.30e per sheet. If you find anything cheaper then that, let me know as well.

    With kind regards from Veenendaal.
