In terms of 'bumping' to indicate an item is sold...well how in the heck else would you do it??? They automatically get moved to the top.
I agree. I am sure that those who find something they like are happy that the item was not buried in a list that they might have missed.

I frequent a hot rod site that uses this same software. On their classifieds they are pretty strict that when you place an ad, enquirers are to use the PM, not enquire in the add which bumps it to the top. The poster is only allowed to bump the ad back to the top once every 3 days. Works very well for them and they have a lot heavier use flow than we do here.

But I like like the " pm sent I'll take it"

It lets others know its gone, instead of a lot of of pm's sent--only guessing if you got it or not. I do agree with you on the bumping

And by the way you need to list more stuff--I finally have return to work--and your for sale adds, have always had my interest--ready to buy---hint---hint

JOHN: Sorry for the delay getting back to you. I was bumped off the forum for 30 days for my part in a rift with another member. Ahh... I should've known better!!

What items are you interested in? I'm sending you a PM too.
