    Print sizes circa 1900

    Greetings...

Hoping some one has this knowledge.

What was the typical and the largest size exhibition print produced by photgraphers from 1880-1910?

    Thanks.

Hazarding an educated guess on the large size: Mammoth Plate, 18x22 (approximately).

Remember, that was before enlarging was easy or popular; in those days the vast majority of photographs were contact prints.

Long narrow prints from circuit cameras were popular. Several feet long by approximately 10" high.
