if you fix a lumen print in the normal way the colors will change, usually for the worse. I have no reason to believe its any less archival though. There are other ways of fixing them which purportedly yield better results but still change the colors, such as using chromeskedasic (thiocyanate based) fixer. But I haven't tried those yet. I've been photographing them onto color negatives and making RA-4 prints in order to get "permanent" images.

Bob, these are really cool. I'm assuming the second neg was just for an additional gum layer? Did you generate it by using "blend if"? It would be interesting to see the image before and after the second layer was added. It looks like you have the technique worked out, I'm looking forward to seeing more.
