No problem, gandolfi. I hope you try carbon transfer as I'd love to see what you do with it.
And thanks to all for the kinds words.

This was the result of a very busy day at the beach. Not only do I have to get on location by about 4.30am to ensure I get a park for my van and caravan darkroom, but I chose the school holidays...crazy. This is a 20"x24" ambrotype...10 second exposure.

Craig, what a joy to hold it. You are so dedicated . Nice flow plate there and I bet there is a lot of work for something like this . Don't forget the apron next time. TFS.
Btw what fixer did you use?

Well done, Craig! Proof of the first water that there are many more people crazier than carbon printers!

Thanks Tri! I was watching one of your youtube clips the other day and had a serious case of mammoth petzval envy I'm loving what you are doing with carbon, just beautiful work.

The prep is insane for this format and bigger. I allow at least one full day for glass cleaning, loading about 200 litres of filtered water, packing the van etc...and that's without prepping chems. Wouldn't have it any other way though.

Whether I wear my apron or not doesn't seem to make much of a difference. I think every item of clothing I own has silver nitrate stains on it and I go to shake someones hand and they step back as though I'm a mechanic with grease from elbows to finger tips.

I used Sodium Thiosulphate for fixing this time...I don't like using KCN around hundreds of kids on the beach. A stronger dilution gives warm tones very similar to KCN.

Agreed, very nice warm tone for outdoor image. Have you tried some Ruby plate for this size.
