Carbon transfer print. 8x10 Efke pl25. Digineg used printed to 11x14. Incredible relief on this one. Please forgive the iPhone reproduction!

Very nice Erik! What paper did you use a final support?

Gorgeous! Apart from the final support, what kind of temporary support do you use to pour the tissue on? I've been thinking about other options besides the papers I've been using so far as they give me problems with the transfer and fibers embedded into the tissue which end up in the final print.

    Thanks guys,
Jasonso, the final support on this is some old Kentmere Kentona. Koraks, the tissue was poured on exposed 11x14 film where the image didn't make the cut so was trash. I also use yupo.

    Hi Erik

You can really see the relief and texture of the wood as you point out, very nice

Thanks go clarifying this Erik. I've also begun using tissue mon (xray) film and it works quite well. I'm still looking for something slightly bigger than 8x10" to print full 8x10's and preferably not film, as I find it a bit of a waste to sacrifice film that I could otherwise not use either (I only go up to 8x10). Yupo is a bit difficult to get here, so I'm going to look for an alternative; let's see what I can come up with.

Thanks folks, I think this image displays the unique qualities available with the carbon process with all the textures and light/dark transitions that emphasize the relief potential. I'm tickled with the print but might like to see it with a little warmer tissue - we'll see...
